Something New

If you take a look you will see a couple of new items links over there on the right.

The first "Quick Bites" is mobile updates of the pizza I'm in the process of eating.  You might see more in a latter post and you might not.

Second is "The Big Guys".  When I'm paying for pizza i tend to go for the local pizza joint, but on occasion I find my self eating pizza from one of the big chains, you know Domino's, Papa John's, Pizza Hut or Little Caesars.  So if you're interested in what I think of them, then click away.  I will try to keep it short and sweet.

Thank you for your attention, please resume your pizza eating.

Little Caesars, Hot-N-Ready $5

I walk in and ask for a pepperoni pizza. I'm then asked if I would like an order of crazy bread also?  No thanks is my reply.  "$5.38 please" and before i can pull out my wallet there is a pizza waiting for me.  I'm in, out and on the road in less than five minutes.

The big question, was it worth all 538 penny's?  I went into Little Caesars with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised.  So, yes it was worth all 538 penny's.  If for no other reason than I was able to get lunch, supper and a midnight snack out of it.  Now I'm not counting the day's until I go to Little Caesars again but under the right circumstance I would get a Hot-N-Ready pizza again, shoot I'd even pay for it.

As they say YPMV.

And 4 makes 12.

Not only have I had 12 pizza's in two days, I made them all.  Just for the record I did have seven other pizza eaters help me eat them.

A majority of the pizza eaters really liked the olive oil, pancette, basil, fresh mozzarella and shaved parmigiana pizza.  I also thought it was very good,  but the Margarita (tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil) and the breakfast pizza (olive oil, bacon, cheddar cheese and two eggs) are fighting for my top spot.

The next time I eat pizza somebody else will be making it, as I have got the pizza making bug out of my system for awhile.

Home Made Pizza.

After my success with breakfast I invited some family over for supper and made a few pizza's.  I ended up making 7.  A side from the homemade pizza dough and sauce the toppings included red onions, yellow & red peppers, sweet Italian sausage, pepperoni, prosciutto, pancetta, fresh mozzarella, shaved parmigiana & Romano and shredded mozzarella.  The pepperoni, prosciutto and pancetta are locally made by Volpi.  The pizza's were all cooked on a pizza stone with the oven set to it's highest setting (525 F), cooking time was about 7-8 minutes.

Defiantly Highly Recommended, but you have to be on really good terms with the Chief Pizza Eater to get it.

And the best part is I still have four dough balls left, meaning I'll be eating pizza again tomorrow.

Breakfast.

My daughter likes for me to fix her an over-easy egg and some bacon for breakfast on the weekend, so todays breakfast  was rather special.  I fix homemade breakfast pizza, with olive oil,Cheddar cheese,Bacon and two eggs, all on a crust made from homemade dough that has been resting for the last 24 hours.
